New Met exhibit: 'Like Life' sculptures (15 images)
The "Like Life: Sculpture, Color, and the Body (1300-Now)" exhibit opens March 21 at Met Breuer, part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York City. The collection explores the expanded narratives of sculpture through works in which artists have sought to replicate the literal, living presence of the human body. The exhibit runs through July 22, 2018. Photos by John Angelillo/UPI
Jeff Koons' 1988 sculpture "Michael Jackson and Bubbles" made of porcelain. There was controversy over the piece at the time of its reveal due to the pop star being portrayed as white with effeminate lips and eyes.
