The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City has hosted a gala almost every year since 1948 to premiere the Costume Institute's annual exhibit. The 2023 Met Gala will take place Monday and will honor late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Here's a look at memorable Met Gala looks through the years.
