Mariah Carey gave a flawless rendition of her latest single "#Beautiful" during the BET Music Awards on Sunday night. However, many are saying the star was lip syncing through the entire performance.

Before the 43-year-old star took the stage in a shimmering gold gown on Sunday, her husband Nick Cannon told E! News Carey's performances were "all her."

"My wife is a perfectionist and clearly because she's done it right all her life. So she actually puts a lot of work into these performances," he said. "There's no management helping make decisions. Everything you see is all her, whether it's a collaboration when the lights hit, how she enters, she's doing all of that."

But instead the star was caught singing to a a background track -- a common practice among singers -- during her performance alongside Miguel and rapper Young Jeezy.

The incident comes a month after Carey denied lip-syncing a medley of her greatest hits on the American Idol finale.

Here's a video of Carey's BET performance so you can judge for yourself.
