May 31 (UPI) -- K-pop superstars BTS will release a new digital single "Take Two" on June 9 as part of the "BTS Festa" festival, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the group's debut, said representation agency, Big Hit Music.

The agency explained that all the members participated in it to thank their fans and express their wishes that they continue to support them.

The event kicked off early this Wednesday at various locations in Seoul to celebrate their debut anniversary, which falls on June 13.

This year's edition will be held until June 17, in collaboration with the Seoul municipal government, in the emblematic places of the South Korean capital, under the motto "BTS PRESENTS EVERYWHERE" (BTS is present everywhere).

During the festival, various spaces, such as Sevit -- a floating artificial island in the south of the Hangang River, Namsan Tower on Mount Nam, the Seoul Mayor's Office, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP, according to its acronym in English) and the World Cup bridge, will be dyed purple.

The highlight of the festival, the main event, will take place on June 17 at Hangang River Park in Yeouido.

BTS debuted in 2013 under BigHit Entertainment, the predecessor of K-pop giant Hybe, with the single "2 Cool 4 Skool" and has since achieved worldwide fame.

The K-pop band has become the first in the K-pop genre to top US music magazine Billboard's "Hot 100" singles chart and "Billboard 200" albums chart, and now have six chart-topping songs and albums, respectively, as a group.
