Coldplay, BTS perform across the galaxy in 'My Universe' music video

Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Coldplay and BTS unite in deep space in the new music video for their collaborative single, "My Universe."

Music has been forbidden across the galaxy with Coldplay, BTS and alien supergroup Supernova 7 defying the ban by performing via hologram's in the clip released on Thursday.

The video features extensive CGI graphics as Coldplay and BTS perform together on different planets by using holograms.

The bands were being helped by an alien known as DJ Lafrique whose ship is able to escape from total destruction at the end. Dave Meyers directed the music video.

"My Universe" will appear on Coldplay's upcoming ninth studio album titled Music of the Spheres, which will be released on Oct. 15.

Coldplay and BTS recently released two new versions of "My Universe" including a stripped down acoustic version and a more electronic heavy remix crafted by Coldplay member Guy Berryman.
