Latin Grammy Awards: Camilo, Bad Bunny among 2021 nominees

Sept. 28 (UPI) -- The Latin Recording Academy has announced the 2021 nominees for the Latin Grammy Awards.

Columbian singer Camilo leads the field with 10 nominations, including Album of the Year for Mis Manos and Song of the Year for "Dios Así Lo Quiso."

Dominican singer-songwriter Juan Luis Guerra follows with six nominations, Spanish rapper C. Tanaga with five, and Puerto Rican singer and rapper Bad Bunny with four. Guerra, Tanaga and Bad Bunny are also up for Album of the Year.

J Balvin, Maluma, Omar Apollo and Rauw Alejandro are among the other nominees.

"Our Academy strives to support the Latin music community through inclusive awards that spotlight the most current representation of excellence in the field," Latin Recording Academy CEO Manuel Abud said in a statement.

"Today, we are proud to unveil the nominees for the 22nd annual Latin Grammy Awards -- a gifted and diverse group of artists whose global music has broke down cultural barriers around the world," he added.

The Latin Grammy Awards will take place Nov. 18 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The show will air live on Univision at 8 p.m. EDT.
