Shawn Mendes revisits 'Summer of Love' in new music video

Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Shawn Mendes and Puerto Rican music producer Tainy are back with new music.

The 23-year-old singer-songwriter and Tainy, 32, released a single and music video for the song "Summer of Love" on Friday.

"#SummerOfLove out now I LOVE YOU GUYS @tainy," Mendes wrote on Instagram.

In the new video, Mendes revisits a "summer of love." The singer is seen soaking up the sun and partying in a coastal town.

"It was the summer of love / A delicate daydream / And for a couple of months / It felt like we were 18," Mendes sings.

Mendes also makes a reference to "Señorita," his hit single with his girlfriend, Camila Cabello, in the new song.

"Summer of Love" is Mendes' second single of 2021. He released the song "Kesi (Remix)" with Camilo in July.

Mendes released his fourth studio album, Wonder, in December. The album features the singles "Wonder," "Monster" and "Call My Friends."
