Foo Fighters to give first full-capacity show at Madison Square Garden

June 8 (UPI) -- Foo Fighters announced on Tuesday that they will be performing a full-capacity show at New York's Madison Square Garden on June 20, making it the venue's first packed concert since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The show also represents the first time in over a year since the Foo Fighters have performed in concert.

"We've been waiting for this day for over a year. And @TheGarden is going to feel that HARD. New York, get ready for a long ass night of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos," the offfical Twitter account for the Foo Fighters said.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. EDT. Fans must show proof that they are fully- vaccinated in order to attend the show. Attendees under the age of 16 can also show proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

The Madison Square Garden show is taking place before the Foo Fighters' upcoming 25th anniversary tour, which begins July 28 in Cincinnati.

The band is also headlining the 2021 Lollapalooza music festival alongside Miley Cyrus, Post Malone and Tyler, the Creator. Lollapalooza takes place in Chicago from July 29 to Aug. 1.
