'6locc 6a6y' rapper Lil Loaded dies at 20

June 1 (UPI) -- "6locc 6a6y" rapper Lil Loaded has died.

The Dallas County medical examiner confirmed Monday to NBC News that Lil Loaded, born Dashawn Robertson, died at age 20. Officials said the cause of death had yet to be determined.

Lil Loaded's attorney Ashkan Mehryari told USA Today that the rapper died by sucide.

"Sadly, I am able to confirm Mr. Robertson passed away today," Mehryari said in a statement.

Mehryari told the Dallas Morning News that Lil Loaded's death was "very tragic."

"He had a very bright and promising music career ahead of him," Mehryari said.

Lil Loaded came to fame with the 2019 viral hit "6locc 6a6y," which was certified gold last week by the Recording Industry Association of America.

"dopest fanbase on earth," Lil Loaded wrote on Instagram at the time.

He was also known for the single "Gang Unit."

News of Lil Loaded's death follows his legal issues. XXL said the rapper was indicted by a grand jury in March on one count of manslaughter in connection with the death of Khalil Walker, 18.
