Dec. 2 (UPI) -- R&B-soul singer Jill Scott is going on tour in 2020. The 47-year-old recording artist announced on her website Monday that she will celebrate her 2000 album, Who is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1, with a 20th anniversary tour.
Scott will kick off the tour Feb. 7 in Kansas City, Mo., and perform through March 21 in Columbia, S.C. Billboard said Scott will announce a second leg of the tour at a later date.
Who is Jill Scott? is Scott's debut studio album and includes the singles "Love Rain," "Gettin' in the Way," "A Long Walk" and "The Way." Scott told Billboard the album still resonates with fans because of "the honest stories and the timing."
"The album is sistah strong yet vulnerable and filled with love," she said.
Scott said she will perform the album in its entirety on the tour.
"I'm going to be true to the album set list. I'll do every song in the order of the album," the star said.
"I will create musical arrangements for the songs purposed with new energy, but keep the integrity of the original songs they love," she added. "Expect theater. Expect incredible musicianship. Expect love."
Scott released her fifth album, Woman, in 2015. In addition to singing, she has appeared as an actress in film Get on Up and the BBC/HBO series The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency.
