"Candle Light" is part of the SM Station Season 3 project from NCT's agency, SM Entertainment. The company promoted the video in a tweet Thursday.

"[STATION 3] NCT DREAM 'Candle Light' MV," the post reads. "#NCTDREAM #NCT #CandleLight #STATION."

Billboard said "Candle Light" is the final NCT Dream song to feature Mark, who will "graduate" from the group at the end of the year. The 19-year-old singer is the first member to age out of the subunit.

NCT Dream released its debut EP, We Young, in August 2017, and followed up with We Go Up in September. The group is known for the singles "Chewing Bum," "My First and Last" and "We Go Up."

As a full group, NCT consists of 18 members. The boy band is split into the subunits NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream and NCT China.
