Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Bruce Springsteen announced on Twitter that he will not be touring with the E Street Band in 2019.
"Just a note to quell some of the rumors over here on E Street. While we hope to be back with you soon, the E Street Band won't be touring in 2019," Springsteen said on Tuesday.
"Before I go back to my day job, the year will be consumed with a break after our Broadway run and various recording projects I've been working on. We do hope to see you soon," he continued before stating that some members of the E Street Band will be regularly preforming from their own projects.
Springsteen's Broadway show is set to wrap up Dec. 15. Netflix is then set to debut a recording of the stage show on the same day.
Springsteen on Broadway is based on the musician's autobiography Born to Run. The show was billed as an intimate evening with Springsteen where he tells stories using his guitar and a piano.
Springsteen's last studio album, titled High Hopes, was released in 2014.
