Black Pink's agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed "Solo" topped Korea's major charts, including Melon, Bigs, Mnet and Genie. The song also reached No. 1 on iTunes charts in 49 countries, including Brazil, Hong Kong and Spain.

Jennie released "Solo" and a sultry music video for the single Monday. She told reporters at a press conference the song shows two different sides of her personality.

"Since I have given lots of strong and charismatic performances on the stage, many people think that I probably would be just like that in real life. But many of those who have met me say that I have an aura of genuinely girlish charm," the star said.

YG Entertainment gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Jennie's "Solo" video in a tweet Monday.

News broke this month that Jennie, RosΓ©, Jisoo and Lisa are working on solo projects in addition to new music with Black Pink. The group last released the EP Square Up in June.
