Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Black Pink singer Jennie is making her solo debut.

The 22-year-old K-pop star released a music video Monday for her first solo single, "Solo."

The sultry video shows Jennie in a number of different outfits and locales, including a Chanel bodysuit inside a laundromat and a floral dress outside a brick estate.

Jennie performed "Solo" at Black Pink's solo concerts in Seoul over the weekend. She discussed the song at a press conference Monday.

"Even though I unveiled the new song during the last concert, it still feels unreal that the music is going to be out today," she said, according to Yonhap News Agency.

The K-pop star said "Solo" and its video shows two different sides of her personality.

"Since I have given lots of strong and charismatic performances on the stage, many people think that I probably would be just like that in real life. But many of those who have met me say that I have an aura of genuinely girlish charm," she said.

News broke this month that Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo and Lisa are working on solo projects in addition to new music with Black Pink. The group last released the EP Square Up in June.
