Ashley Tisdale returns with new single 'Voices in My Head'

Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Ashley Tisdale has released her first song in nine years with a new single titled "Voices in My Head."

The track was released on Thursday through music streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music.

"I know they never stop talking/ Always sabotaging/ But talk is cheap/ This is the last time/ I listen to the voices in my head," the former High School Musical star sings in the chorus of the pop-heavy song.

"Voices in My Head" is set to appear on Tisdale's upcoming third studio album Symptoms. The album has no set release date. Tisdale's last album, Guilty Pleasure, was released in 2009.

Tisdale has been posting videos to her YouTube channel as part of a series titled Music Sessions where she performs covers of popular songs.
