June 13 (UPI) -- Walker Hayes wrote a loving anniversary message to his wife in the wake of their daughter's death.

The 38-year-old country singer dedicated a post to Laney Hayes on their 14th wedding anniversary Tuesday following the death of their baby girl.

Hayes shared a black and white photo of Laney smiling while spending time with two of their daughters at a mall. He couldn't help but gush about his wife in the caption.

"I love this picture of Laney the most... I hope all of our kids find someone they could stare at forever... and feel like I do when I look at this. Happy 14th anniversary to us," the star wrote.

Hayes was expecting his seventh child with Laney, but announced last week the baby girl, Oakleigh Klover, died shortly after his wife gave birth.

"It is with great sadness that Laney and I share with you the news that our sweet Oakleigh Klover Hayes was born this morning at the hospital and now is safely in Heaven," he said in a statement. "Thank you for honoring our privacy as we grieve."

Hayes and Laney are parents to three daughters and three sons, whose ages range from two to 11. The singer told Taste of Country in November that he and his wife were expecting baby No. 7.
