BTS is the first K-pop group to have had multiple songs appear on the Billboard Pop Songs chart. The group's song "Mic Drop" reached No. 25 on the chart in January.

South Korean rapper Psy is the only other K-pop act to have appeared on the chart. The rapper's song "Gangnam Style" peaked at No. 10 in 2012.

"Fake Love" appears on BTS' album Love Yourself: Tear, which debuted in May. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 following its release, and ranked No. 6 on the chart last week.
