Gorillaz announce North American tour, release new music video

May 31 (UPI) -- Gorillaz have announced a new North American tour in support of their upcoming sixth studio album, The Now Now.

The Now Now tour is set to begin Oct. 8 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto before wrapping up Oct. 16 at the United Center in Chicago. Gorillaz will also be performing in cities such as Montreal, Philadelphia, New York and Boston.

The band will additionally be holding their Demon Dayz Festival on Oct. 20 at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena & Grounds in Los Angeles.

Gorillaz will be joined by The Internet on all tour dates except for their stop in Boston where Little Dragon will serve as the opening act.

Tickets go on sale to the general public starting on June 8 at 10 a.m. PST through Ticketmaster. American Express cardmembers will be allowed to take part in a pre-sale that begins June 1 at 10 a.m. local time and ends on June 7 at 10 p.m. local time.

The Now Now, which will feature 11 new tracks with guest appearances by George Benson, Snoop Dogg and Jamie Principle, was announced on Wednesday. The album follows the release of 2017's Humanz.

Gorillaz released on Thursday a music video for Now Now track "Humility" that features animated band member 2D skating at Venice Beach, Calif. and actor Jack Black playing a guitar.

Gorillaz, consisting of Blur's Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, is represented by animated characters 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel.
