Cher Lloyd gives birth to daughter: 'We are so in love'

May 29 (UPI) -- British singer Cher Lloyd is a first-time mom.

The 24-year-old recording artist took to Instagram Monday after welcoming her first child, daughter Delilah-Rae, with husband Craig Monk.

Lloyd posted a slideshow of photos that included a picture of her baby girl in a pink onesie. She said she gave birth to the infant Friday, May 25.

"Our baby girl is here! We are so in love.... Delilah-Rae 25.05.18," the star wrote.

Lloyd married Monk in November 2013 after two years of dating, according to People. The singer announced new music and her pregnancy in January.

"I am beyond thrilled to inform you all that my husband Craig and I are also expecting our first child in May!" Lloyd wrote on Instagram. "We are absolutely over the moon to share this news with you all."

"I am so excited to enter this new chapter in my life, surrounded by family I love, a supportive team around me and with music I've worked super hard on and am so excited and proud to reveal to you later in the year," she added.

Lloyd came to fame as a contestant on The X Factor U.K. Season 7. She is known for the singles "Swagger Jagger," "Want U Back" and "I Wish," and last released the album Sorry I'm Late in May 2014.
