May 27 (UPI) -- The country group Little Big Town is set to host the 2018 CMT Music Awards on June 6 in Nashville.

Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Kelly Clarkson, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt are confirmed as performers for the gala at the Bridgestone Arena.

Additional performers will be announced soon, the cable network said in a news release.

Clarkson -- who hosted this month's Billboard Music Awards show -- is expected to debut her new take on the rock classic, "American Woman," at the CMT Awards. The song will be used in the promotional campaign for Alicia Silverstone's new Paramount Network show American Woman.
