Ariana Grande marks anniversary of Manchester attack

May 22 (UPI) -- Ariana Grande marked the anniversary of the Manchester attack with a loving message to the British city.

The 24-year-old singer sent love to fans in a tweet Tuesday, one year after a bombing at her concert in Manchester, England, killed 22 people.

"thinking of you all today and every day," Grande wrote, adding a bee emoji.

"I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day," she said.

Grande was made an honorary citizen of Manchester in July following her involvement in the One Love benefit concert. The event raised more than $3 million for the victims of the attack.

"I don't know what to say. Words don't suffice. I'm moved and honored. My heart is very much still there. I love you. Thank you," Grande said of her honorary citizenship.

British Prime Minister Theresa May and Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, will attend a memorial service Tuesday at Manchester Cathedral. William will meet with victims' families following the service.
