May 11 (UPI) -- Texas police are investigating a death threat against Jimin, a member of the South Korean boy band BTS.

The Fort Worth police department confirmed it's looking into a post from an anonymous online user who said they would shoot the 22-year-old singer, born Park Ji-min, at BTS' concert in the city in September.

"We are aware of the threat made to the BTS concert (in Sept) and is is currently being investigated/looked into," authorities tweeted Thursday.

A BTS fan contacted the Fort Worth Convention and Visitor's Bureau Thursday after seeing the threatening post online. The fan tweeted a screenshot of the message, in which the anonymous person said they would kill Jimin.

"I'm going to shoot Park Jimin with a Glock 19 in Fort Worth on September 16 while he signs Serendipity," the person said.

BTS will perform in several U.S. cities, including a show Sept. 16 in Fort Worth, as part of its Love Yourself world tour. The group will kick off the venture in August following the release of its album Love Yourself: Tear this month.
