"Thanks to all my lovely royrose for making my new single 'Only Then' hit first in korean music charts. xoxo and more xoxo. roy," he wrote.

"Only You" debuted as a single and a music video Monday. The song, which had the working title "We Will Break Up Then," centers on a man's long-distance relationship and his heartbreaking decision to break up.

"I received great strength and happiness from all the big love 'Only Then' has received," Kim said through his agency, according to The Korea Herald.

"It's been hard for me to promote my music due to my school life, but I really wanted to release this son," the Georgetown University student added. "It took me almost a year to make it, the longest time I've spent on creating a song."

Kim came to fame after winning the reality competition Superstar K4, and released his debut studio album, Love Love Love, in 2013. He is also known for the singles "Bom Bom Bom," "Love Love Love" and "Home."
