Brian McKnight marries Leilani Malia Mendoza in New York

Jan. 2 (UPI) -- R&B star Brian McKnight married Leilani Malia Mendoza at a lavish ceremony in New York.

The 48-year-old singer shared photos on New Year's Eve from his wedding to Mendoza at Oheka Castle in Long Island.

McKnight and Mendoza were all smiles in a picture of them walking away from the altar. The bride wore a sheer gown embellished with over 50,000 Swarovski crystals.

"Mr. And Mrs. McKnight #justmarried #priceless #brianized #mcknightgetsleid #ohekacastle @tmilophoto @ninthandeverett #sabrinaandmannings," McKnight captioned the snapshot on Instagram.

The "Back at One" singer followed up by posting a photo of himself and Mendoza leaning in for a kiss.

"Happy new year from the McKnight's #2018 #justmarried #priceless #iloveourlife @tmilophoto @ninthandeverett @sabrinaandmannings," he wrote.

People reported McKnight and Mendoza have been together since 2014. The couple got engaged in Detroit, Mich., in May.

"She said yes," the star wrote at the time. "Took me 42 years to find her and I'm never letting her go I'm so in love with you baby #iloveourlife #priceless #brianized."

McKnight was previously married to Julie McKnight from 1990 to 2003. He shares two sons, Brian Jr. and Niko, with his ex-wife.
