Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Pop star Mariah Carey is to perform on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018, dick clark productions and ABC announced Friday.

Carey first appeared on the live, count-down special in 2005. She made headlines last year when she returned, but was unable to sing after a vocal track reportedly malfunctioned and her earpieces failed.
