The Guinness World Records official Twitter confirmed BTS has "the world's most Twitter engagements for a music group." The company congratulated the boy band alongside a clip of their performance of "DNA."

"Congrats to @BTS_twt on a stellar performance at last night's @AMAs! #DYK? The South Korean boy band has succeeded in earning a spot in this year's #GWR2018 edition for having the world's most @Twitter engagements for a music group! #BTSxAMAs," Guinness wrote.

Good Morning America reported there were "around 20 million tweets" about BTS' performance at the AMAs on Sunday. The group reached an average 254,609 retweets per post after the awards show, beating Harry Styles' previous record of 180,607, according to The Korea Herald.

BTS has broken several records since the release of the album Love Yourself 'Her' in September, including becoming the first South Korean act to reach 10 million Twitter followers.
