Trump appeared alongside Minho at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul to support the Girls Play 2! campaign. Minho excited the audience by making the first lady smile at the event, which encouraged girls' participation in sports.

"The U.S. First Lady #MelaniaTrump attended a sports event to encourage female participation in sports and promote #PyeongChang2018," the PyeongChang 2018 official Twitter account wrote.

Trump and her husband, President Donald Trump, embarked Saturday on a 13-day trip to Asia. The couple will visit Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines during their first official visit to the region.

"On the way to Asia. I am looking forward to seeing Mrs. Abe, First Lady Kim and Madame Peng again! #FLOTUSinAsia," Trump tweeted Saturday, referencing Akie Abe, Kim Jung-sook and Peng Liyuan.
