Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Niall Horan's debut album Flicker -- which includes the hit singles "This Town" and "Slow Hands" -- is No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The music magazine noted Horan is the third, former member of One Direction to reach No. 1 on the U.S. album chart with a solo effort.

Harry Styles' self-titled debut achieved the milestone earlier this year and Zayn Malik's Mind of Mine was released in 2016.

The only other band to have a trio of musicians accomplish this was the Beatles.

"I've spent the last year and a half writing and recording this album. It's something that I've worked really hard on and I'm incredibly proud of it," Horan tweeted Oct. 20 when Flicker was released.

"This is the first time I've put my thoughts and emotions on paper and then onto record and It feels really good," he added. "I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for everything so far. Lots of love Nialler Xx."
