Taylor Swift breaks free in new music video for "...Ready For It?"

Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Taylor Swift confronts an A.I version of herself in the new music video for her single "...Ready For It?"

The clip, released Thursday, features the pop star navigating a dark and gloomy futuristic world when she comes face to face with a robot counterpart of herself that is locked away inside a squared cell.

The imprisoned Swift, who dons a hi-tech body suit similar to the one worn by actress Scarlett Johansson in Ghost in the Shell, displays a number of powerful abilities as she attempts to escape her cell.

Once the counterpart breaks through, it becomes clear that the Swift on the outside is actually the robot as she is defeated.

The video for "...Ready For It?" is the second released from Swift's new album Reputation following the video for "Look What You Made Me Do."

Reputation, which is set to release on Nov. 10, will also include the song "Gorgeous."
