Rain has partnered with the record label Brand New Music on the project. He and Taewan, an R&B singer and producer at the company, are said to be in "the final stages" of the album.

Rain co-wrote and produced the majority of the tracks with Taewan. He previously worked with the singer and producer on his 2008 album, Rainism, and his 2010 release, Back to the Basic.

Word of the album follows news Rain has welcomed his first child, a daughter, with wife and actress Kim Tae-Hee. The new dad is also busy with the KBS reality competition The Unit, which he teased Thursday on Instagram.

"#TheUnit #SaturdayNight #09:15pm #kbs," he captioned a promo.
