2017 MAMAs: Seventeen, Wanna One, BTS, IU among nominees

Seventeen and Wanna One will compete for Best Male Group and Best Music Video.

Oct. 20 (UPI) -- South Korean acts Seventeen, Wanna One, BTS and IU are among the 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards nominees.

The recording artists are up for three awards each, along with fellow K-pop stars EXO, Twice and Heize, according to Billboard.

Seventeen is nominated for Best Male Group, along with Best Music Video and Best Dance Performance by a Male Group for "Don't Wanna Cry." Wanna One will compete for Best Male Group, Best Music Video for "Energetic," and is also up for Best New Male Artist.

The ninth-annual awards show will take place over three dates in three different countries. The first ceremony will be held Nov. 25 in Vietnam, with the second Nov. 29 in Japan and the final Dec. 1 in Hong Kong.

The Korea Herald reported Seventeen and Wanna One will both perform at the awards show. Seventeen will take to the stage Nov. 29 in Yokohoma, with Wanna One to perform Nov. 25 in Ho Chi Minh and Dec. 1 in Hong Kong.

Ticket sales will start Oct. 23 for the concerts in Vietnam and Japan, with sales beginning Oct. 27 for Hong Kong. Fans can vote for their favorite artists on the official Mnet website through Nov. 28.

Seventeen last released the EP AI1 in May, and will release the new album Teen,Age on Nov. 6. Wanna One, meanwhile, will debut 1-1=0 (Nothing Without You), a re-release of their album 1x1=1 (To Be One), on Nov. 13.
