Ed Sheeran involved in bicycle accident, 'may affect' upcoming shows

Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Ed Sheeran shared on Instagram Monday how he was involved in a bicycle accident that may affect his ongoing world tour.

"Ive had a bit of a bicycle accident and I'm currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows," the singer wrote alongside a photo of his right arm in a plaster cast.

"Please stay tuned for further news," Sheeran continued.

Sheeran is scheduled to kick off the Asian leg of his tour starting Oct. 22, which includes concerts in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore, Metro reported.

Recently, Sheeran shared his excitement for his six-week Asia trip on Instagram alongside a photo of a stuffed Panda bear.

Sheeran is also scheduled to be returning stateside for a pair of performances in Los Angeles and New York as part of the annual iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour alongside Taylor Swift and others.
