Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Bob Seger has postponed the remainder of his Runaway Train tour with the Silver Bullet Band citing doctor's orders to treat an issue concerning his vertebrae.

The North American tour first began Aug. 24 in Toledo, Ohio. Seger and the Silver Bullet Band last performed Thursday in Pittsburgh before he delayed his upcoming show in Columbus, Ohio. The concerts were set to resume Oct. 5 in Greenville, S.C. before wrapping up Nov. 17 in Chicago.

"I'm so disappointed to have to suspend the tour as the band is on a great roll. It's a privilege to play for our amazing fans. Hoping to be back out on the road very soon," Seger said in a statement on his website.

Seger's website noted that tickets sold for concerts being rescheduled will be honored at new dates that will be announced in the future.

Seger last made headlines in June when his full catalog was released across a number of music streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, Napster and Slacker Radio.
