Sept. 29 (UPI) -- South Korean singer and former Wonder Girls member Yeeun will release a new solo album in October. The 28-year-old K-pop star, born Park Ye-eun, will return with the single album MEiNe on Oct. 12, according to The Korea Herald.
Yeeun's agency, Amoeba Culture, announced the news Thursday by sharing a teaser image for MEiNe on Twitter. The album will be released under Yeeun's stage name Ha:tfelt.
News of the album follows the Wonder Girls' disbandment in January. Yeeun said in an interview with Star Today in March that the group broke up on good terms.
"We chose to [disband] because we really cared for one another and were looking out for each other," the singer said. "More than being sad, I'm more excited for what is to come."
"I'm excited for what the members and I will achieve in the future," she added.
