Sept. 29 (UPI) -- "Marmalade" rapper Macklemore is going to be a dad of two. The 34-year-old recording artist, born Benjamin Haggerty, announced wife Tricia Davis is pregnant in a promo video Thursday for his upcoming Gemini tour.
"Seattle... Second time's the charm. (and yes, both announcements are true)," he wrote alongside the clip.
The video shows Macklemore prank fans and family by pretending to announce his unborn baby's sex. He cuts into a blue and pink cake only to show a flyer advertising a second concert at the Key Arena in Seattle, Wash.
"I woke up today and I had an idea: You guys have been such a big part of our lives that I wanted to let you in on a little secret. Tricia is pregnant! And today we are going to find out the gender of our child," the star says.
"We're having... a second night at Key Arena!" he announces as Davis laughs at their family's reaction to the news. "Key Arena night two! Tickets on sale tomorrow!"
Macklemore and Davis already share 2-year-old daughter Sloane Ava Simone. The rapper said in an interview with People in December that he and his family spent a lot of time outdoors, including in their home city of Seattle.
"My wife loves the outdoors, she loves hiking and just getting outside and away from screens," he told the magazine.
"I don't want to raise my daughter in a world where that is her norm," he added. "I want that to be a special treat on top of something else, but I don't want that to be just the go-to default -- stick [her] in front of a screen."
Macklemore's Gemini tour will promote his second solo album of the same name, which debuted last week. The record includes the singles "Glorious" and "Marmalade," as well as the song "Good Old Days" featuring Kesha.
