Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Fergie's son makes a cute cameo in her latest music video.

The 42-year-old singer released a video Monday for her song "A Little Work" featuring Axl Jack, her 4-year-old son with estranged husband Josh Duhamel.

The closing shots show Fergie emerging from a church with Axl. The star holds her son's hand as they confidently walk down the street and gives him a big kiss before the music video ends.

The video also features a voiceover of Fergie discussing feelings of fear and loss of control. It is unclear if the statements are based on her own life.

"I got to a point where I was seeing devils everywhere. Devil faces. Creatures that would appear to me and say, 'Fly, fly fly,'" the star recounted.

"I would constantly be in this state of listening to the messages that all these characters and these demons or creatures, what they were going to tell me, what their messages were and what I should do. And life became almost like this whole game," she confessed.

The singer said the feelings stopped after a life-changing experience in a church.

"That walk out of there, all of that demon that was there, it all the sudden felt like it just lifted. It was almost like walking into the light. I realized I finally needed to honor myself," she recalled.

"A Little Work" appears on Fergie's second studio album, Double Dutchess. The album also includes the song "Enchanté (Carine)," which features a vocal clip from Axl.
