The Global Top 50 is a daily chart that ranks the 50 most streamed songs on Spotify. News of BTS' achievement follows the release of the group's album Love Yourself 'Her' on Monday.

Love Yourself 'Her' ranked No. 1 on 73 iTunes charts, including charts in the U.S., Britain, Australia and Japan, on Tuesday. "DNA" also topped iTunes song charts in 29 countries and debuted at No. 4 in the U.S.

The members of BTS shared their excitement about Love Yourself 'Her' in an interview with Billboard prior to the EP's release.

"It's really a huge, big step for us," Rap Monster said. "Of course, every member is so excited about the album. We're been just practicing until now, day and night, to show these new songs and perfected performances."

"I left a message on our fan cafe, the other day after we finished, that 'this EP will mark the turning point of BTS,'" the 23-year-old rapper added.

BTS has steadily gained international exposure this year, winning Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards in May, and making a New York Times list of the most-watched acts on YouTube in the U.S. in August.
