NCT 127 to serve as DJs on Beats 1 radio

The K-pop group is a sub-unit of the 15-member boy band NCT.

Sept. 6 (UPI) -- The members of NCT 127 will serve as DJs on Beats 1 radio this week.

The K-pop group will become the first South Korean act to host a program on the Apple radio station, according to EDaily.

Taeyong, Jaehyun, Taeil, Mark, Yuta, Haechan, Winwin, Johnny and Doyoung will DJ the show Take Over: NCT 127 Request on Thursday, Sept. 7. The program is broadcasted in over 100 countries around the world.

"#NCT127 becomes the 1st Korean artist to host @beats1 takeover request for two hours. Catch them on Sep 7, 9am KST #NCT127xBeats1 #NCT," the boy band confirmed on its official Twitter page.

The Korea Herald reported NCT 127 recorded part of the program Aug. 21 at the Beats 1 studio in Los Angeles. The show will feature the group's thoughts on their U.S. performances, conversations with fans and song requests.

NCT 127 is a sub-unit of the boy band NCT, which consists of 15 members. NCT 127 last released their third mini album, Cherry Bomb, in June, which peaked at No. 2 on the Gaon Album Chart.
