Aug. 30 (UPI) -- South Korean singer Hyuna returned with a new album and music video this week.

The 25-year-old K-pop star released her sixth EP, Following, and a music video for her single "Babe" on Tuesday. The 1990s-inspired video shows Hyuna travel to a different world after leaving the set of a music video.

Hyuna promoted Following at a press conference Tuesday in Seoul. She explained she named the album "Following" as a tribute to her fans.

"The album is for those who have followed me [throughout my career] and also a way for me to ask listeners to continue to follow and have an interest in my music," the star said, according to News Inside.

Naver reported Hyuna also addressed comparisons to fellow singer Lee Hyori, 38, who released her sixth studio album, Black, in July.

"She's a senior that gives me strength just through her existence alone and I would like to emulate her positive energy," the star said. "I will work even harder myself."

Following marks Hyuna's first release since the EP A'wesome in August 2016. The singer is a former member of the girl groups Wonder Girls and 4Minute, which disbanded in January and in June 2016, respectively.
