Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's hit song featuring Justin Bieber "Despacito," is now tied for most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

"Despacito" now ties Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's '90s hit "One Sweet Day" which spent 16 weeks in the number one spot from 1995-1996.

A number of hit songs including 2015's "Uptown Funk!" from Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars, 2009's "I Gotta Feeling" from the Black Eyed Peas, and Carey's "We Belong Together" from 2005, among others, sit behind "Despacito" and "One Sweet Day," having spent 14 weeks at No. 1.

The Hot 100 streak comes after "Despacito" was named the most-streamed song of all time in July and became the most-watched video in YouTube history.

The tracks historic run on the Hot 100 may come to an end next week however with the arrival of Taylor Swift's new single "Look What You Made Me Do," which is expected to climb the charts considerably after debuting at No. 77 from initial airplay.
