Taylor Swift releases single 'Look What You Made Me Do'

Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Taylor Swift has released the first new single from her upcoming sixth studio album Reputation tilted, "Look What You Made Me Do."

The track arrived Thursday alongside an animated lyric video a day after the singer announced that Reputation would be arriving in November. Swift had been teasing a big announcement this past week on social media with a series of videos featuring a snake.

"I don't like your little games/ I don't like your tilted stage," Swift sings. "The role you made me play: of the fool/ No, I don't like you."

Without mentioning Kanye West by name, the lyric appears to be directed towards the rapper who used a tilting, floating stage during his Saint Pablo tour in 2016.

Swift and West have a long history together with their feud reigniting following the release of West's Life of Pablo track "Famous" which featured the choice lyric, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous."

The pop star said she took issue with the use of the word bitch and denounced the song. Months later, West's wife Kim Kardashian shared a video on SnapChat featuring Swift speaking with West on the phone where she approved of the recording, but not the use of the word bitch. "You don't get to control someone's emotional response to being called 'that bitch' in front of the entire world," Swift said in response to "Famous."

Reputation will be released on Nov. 10 and is now available for pre-order. Swift has partnered with Target to release two, 72-page magazines alongside the album that feature exclusive poetry, photos and artwork, Rolling Stone reported.
