Aug. 16 (UPI) -- South Korean girl group Girls' Generation reached No. 1 on the Billboard World Albums chart this week.

The K-pop group celebrated on Twitter after their 10th anniversary album, Holiday Night, topped the weekly list Wednesday.

"#GirlsGeneration's 6th full-length album '#HolidayNight' takes the No.1 spot on Billboard's World Albums chart," the singers tweeted to their 2.6 million followers.

The Korea Herald reported Holiday Night has also topped the iTunes album charts in 19 countries since its digital release Aug. 4. The album features 10 songs, including the singles "All Night" and "Holiday."

Girls' Generation's agency, SM Entertainment, confirmed this week that it is in negotiations with Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun over new contracts.

"It's true we're currently renewing our contracts with the Girls' Generation members. Most of the members have already renewed their contracts, and we're in talks with the remaining members," the agency said, according to Soompi.

Girls' Generation debuted in November 2007 with a self-titled album. They have since released the albums Oh!, The Boys, I Got a Boy and Lion Heart, as well as three Japanese albums.
