Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Justin Bieber has announced on social media that his newest single title "Friends" is set to release on Thursday.

"New music. Thursday noon," he captioned the image that also notes that the song is a collaboration between Bieber and producer BloodPop.

BloodPop who produced Bieber's hit "Sorry" from his most recent album Purpose, has also worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Madonna, John Legend, Britney Spears and more.

Following the release of Purpose, Bieber has continued to release hits by being featured on other songs such as DJ Khaled's "I'm The One" and Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's Latin hit "Despacito."

The 23-year-old last made headlines in July when he canceled the remainder of his Purpose world tour. "Me taking this time right now is me saying I want to be SUSTAINABLE," he wrote in August about why he chose to take a break from touring.
