Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Carrie Underwood and her family got cozy at a superhero-themed pajama party this week. The 34-year-old singer shared photos Thursday from her fun night in with husband Mike Fisher and 2-year-old son Isaiah.
"Just a typical Thursday night at the Fisher house...featuring Catboy, Gekko and Owlette! it's time to be a hero! #PJMasks," she captioned a slideshow on Instagram.
The pictures show Underwood in a red mask as the PJ Masks character Owlette, with Fisher and Isaiah as Gekko and Catboy. The impromptu party followed news last week of Fisher's retirement from the NHL.
"Captain @mfisher1212 I sure am going to miss watching you play ... but I so look forward to seeing what God has in store for you in this next chapter of your life," Underwood wrote to the former Nashville Predators captain Aug. 3.
"Isaiah and I love you so much and are so excited to be able to have to home a lot more," she added. "We can't wait to cheer on the @predsnhl WITH you in the stands!"
Underwood and Fisher celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary in July. The couple married in 2010 after meeting at one of the singer's concerts in 2008, and welcomed Isaiah in February 2015.
"Celebrating 7 years with this amazing man. How am I so blessed to share this life with you, @mfisher1212? Here's to so many more years and memories together," Underwood gushed July 10.
"Glad I took a chance on this babe 7 years ago. Turns out she's the best wife, and mom to Izzy, I could ever dream of!! #happyanniversary," Fisher added.
