Aug. 8 (UPI) -- South Korean boy band BTS is among the most-watched acts on YouTube.
The K-pop group came in at No. 44 on a New York Times list of popular musical artists in the U.S. released Monday.
The publication ranked 50 acts on the Billboard Top 100 according to their YouTube views between January 2016 and April 2017. BTS was shown to be especially popular in Hawaii, California and northern Wisconsin.
"Mask Off" rapper Future came in at No. 1, followed by singer Rihanna and duo Twenty One Pilots. BTS was the only group of Asian artists to make the list.
BTS made headlines in July after their music video for "Spring Day" passed 100 million views on YouTube. The boy band has reached the milestone with six other music videos, including "Blood, Sweat & Tears."
"We want you, we thank you, we love you," the group told their fans in an interview with Billboard last week.
"Of course [we read fan comments]," the singers added. "We read comments whenever we post something up. Many of them are pretty interesting."
BTS last released the album Wings in October. The boy band confirmed plans in July to release a new album in September.
