Kellie Pickler calls chance to perform for U.S. troops a 'beautiful blessing'

Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Country music star Kellie Pickler says one of the many highlights of her career has been entertaining the U.S. troops who are serving overseas.

Season 3 of her CMT docu-series, I Love Kellie Pickler, will show her performing in Iraq last Christmas.

"We get to shine a light on our service men and women serving all around the world and their families," the American Idol alum said during a recent AOL Build discussion in New York, noting she has, to date, participated in 11 U.S.O. entertainment tours. "It is truly one of the most beautiful blessings we have been a part of, I'd say. Ever year, we're planning a holiday tour."
