Parallel will include the tracks "Belief," "Love Whisper," "Ave Maria," "One-Half," "Life is a Party," "Red Umbrella" and "Falling Asleep Again." The group's agency, Source Music, said Thursday that the EP will debut Aug. 1.

"We hope that the band will produce another summer song hit, having seasonal hits 'Me Gustas Tu' and 'Navillera' under its belt," the company said, according to Yonhap News Agency.

The news comes amid GFriend's Billboard Fan Army Face-Off with fellow K-pop stars Mamamoo. Over 260,000 "Buddys" and "MooMoos" have voted for each group, with GFriend leading by 137 votes as of Friday afternoon.

"Each year, Billboard asks the question -- which fan army is strongest?" Billboard said on its website. Other match-ups include BTS and EXO, T-ara and Girls' Generation, and Twice and Red Velvet.

GFriend released their debut solo album, LOL, in July 2016, and followed up with the EP The Awakening in March. They are known for the singles "Me Gustas Tu," "Navillera," "Rough" and "Fingertip."
