July 6 (UPI) -- South Korean boy band BTS released a remake of the Seo Taiji hit "Come Back Home" this week. The K-pop group shared a music video for the song Wednesday as part of Seo's 25th anniversary Time: Traveler project.
"Come Back Home" originally appeared on the Seo Taiji and Boys album Seo Taiji and Boys IV (1995). BTS expanded the track's original melody and added new lyrics to the song.
Seo teased the collaboration in a Facebook post Monday. BTS is the first group to re-create one of his songs for Time: Traveler, which celebrates his lasting impact on the South Korean music industry.
BTS will perform with Seo at a 25th anniversary concert in the fall. The Korea Herald reported in June that BTS and Seo will sing several of the singer's hits at a show Sept. 2 in Seoul.
"With BTS, Seo will perform his earliest songs exactly as they performed in the 1990s," an official from Seo's label, Seotaiji Co., said. "From selecting songs to designing the stage, he is putting every effort into preparing."
BTS members Rap Monster, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook last released the album Wings in October. The group made Time's new list of the Most Influential People on the Internet in June.
