"You egged Solange on," Jay-Z rapped on 4:44's first track, "Kill Jay Z." "Knowing all along all you had to say you was wrong," he continued before making references to Eric Benet, the actor who split from actress Halle Berry in 2003 amid rumors of infidelity.
"You almost went Eric Benet, let the baddest girl in the world get away," the media mogul rapped. "Never go Eric Benet."
Solange was seen through surveillance video physically attacking Jay-Z in an elevator in 2014 as Beyonce stood by. Lemonade, released in 2016, deals with issues of infidelity with select lyrics from the project such as "This is your final warning...If you try this [expletive] again, you gon' lose your wife," that have led fans to theorize that perhaps Jay-Z and Beyonce were going through a rough patch in their marriage.
Jay-Z got introspective on the new album's fifth track also titled "4:44" where he apologized to Beyonce and mentioned the couple's newborn twins.
"I apologize often womanize / Took for my child to be born / See through a woman's eyes / Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles / Took me too long for this song / I don't deserve you," he said.
"So I apologize / I've seen the innocence / Leave your eyes / I still mourn this death / I apologize for all the stillborns / 'Cus I wasn't pressing / Your body wouldn't accept it," the 47-year-old continued.
Also on the song, Jay-Z seemingly admitted to cheating on Beyonce and rapped about how his children will think of him, "And if my children knew, I don't even know what I would do / If they ain't look at me the same / I would probably die with all the shame / 'You did what with who?' / What good is a menage a trois when you have a soulmate? / 'You risked that for Blue?' "
The album 4:44 was released exclusively to TIDAL and Sprint customers Thursday after Jay-Z teased the release with a number of cryptic videos featuring Hollywood stars Lupita Nyong'o, Mahershala Ali and Danny Glover.
The release through sprint.tidal.com, stems from the cell phone carrier purchasing a 33% stake in the streaming service back in January.
