"Charlotte and Jonny are very sad to announce that they lost their baby. Now is a time for grieving and being together as a family," Church tweeted.

"We kindly ask everyone to respect that peace," she added.

Church, who shares 9-year-old daughter Ruby and 8-year-old son Dexter with ex-fiancé Gavin Henson, confirmed in May that she and Powell were expecting. She later told the Guardian she was feeling "brilliant" amid her third pregnancy.

"It's great, it's lovely. I don't know if I'll ever be a party girl again," the star said. "It feels very different this time around."

Church and Powell, a musician, have been dating since 2010. Church is known for such singles as "The Opera Song," "Crazy Chick" and "Call My Name," and last released the EP FOUR in 2014.
